Finbar’s latest menu is a unique combination of casual pub fare and contemporary Irish cuisine largely influenced by our visit to Ireland last November.  Pamela and I  experienced over 60 pubs and collected more than 30 menus with Finbar's in mind.  Our goal is to bring the finest flavours of Ireland back to Canada.

Finbar's 3 Cheese Irish Nachos recently took first prize in The 2009 Atlantic Fringe Festival's Best Nachos in Halifax Contest!  We are proud that not only did we receive the most votes to make the finals but that a panel of 8 judges chose our nachos over such big hitters as The Economy Shoe Shop and Mexicali Rosa's!

Our recipes use only the finest Irish ingredients, many imported specifically for Finbar's, many of which we hand pick daily.  Our dishes represent Irish cuisine as it is today as opposed to what many people consider "traditionally" Irish.  Although we recognize the classics, we also pride ourselves on providing an interesting variety of dishes that you'll not see anywhere else.  Irish food is not just potatoes anymore!
