Pamela Casey

Previously Pamela Reid, Newfie, born and bred by wonderful parents Wayne and Carol.  I left home after a year of college and moved to Victoria, BC.  There I met my best friend, a four-legged girl named Shylo.  We both studied the art of dog training, I became a certified dog trainer and she became a wonderdog.  After a year of running my own dog training business, we moved to Halifax, where I fell in love with my husband Michael.  In October, '04 we bought Finbar's, a week later we celebrated our bar opening and Michael proposed to me in front of all our family and friends.  Of course I said "yes"!  September 17th, '05 we were married at his family cottage on the Amherst Shore in a tent in the middle of Hurricane Ophelia.  In July 2008 Shylo got a baby sister when our daughter Willow Victoria was born.  Poor Shylo passed away last May after living the best life a dog could want and we miss her every day.  But there's more good news too, this Summer I had a baby boy and we called him Jasper Reid.

I was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia which is where my folks, Bill and Rosemary Casey, still live.  I was pretty late getting started in my career, I mostly traveled and did odd jobs until I met Pamela and realized that I'd better get my act together.  Pamela and I experimented with a few different career choices but eventually we decided that our skills combined were really only appropriate for the bar business so we bought a little neighborhood pub that was in a little trouble called Finbar's and we've never looked back.
